Comfry Potion and Weeding the Seating Area

Before we got started this week, we had a "pea feast".  Lots of tasty peas straight from the pods!

They didn't last long in the hands of Simona and Anaya!

Simona's sister Sofia has joined the club too. 

 Connorhan and new member Dale got "hands on" with the comfry potion!  It's been steeping all summer holidays and was VERY pongy!!  Perfect plant food!

They strained off the liquid very carefully and filled watering cans.  They then gave the beans, courgettes and sun flowers a good feed.  Tomorrow they plan to cut back the comfry again as it is now past its best, to make some more potion!

Meanwhile Danielle took charge of "the gang" as they weeded the seating area, making sure to get the dandelion roots up.  On the right you can see our three new members: Sofia (front), Anaya (middle) and Chloe behind.  We'd like to welcome them to the DiGGers and hope you enjoy many years of gardening at the Academy!
