Press and Journal - Article - Pupils plot progress of food from soil to plate
On Monday this week, Education Scotland launched their "Food for Thought" educational resources. Posters and leaflets linking food across the curriculum will be delivered to all schools in Scotland. They chose to come to the Academy because they had heard of all the good work we have been doing in the garden! There were many speakers and dignitaries present as you can see from this article which appeared the very next day!
DIGGers meet on Wednesday and Thursday lunchtimes - we aim to grow our own fruit and veg and have fun eating it! We also raise money for charity each year through a growing competition and give our primary schools a competition to try and win the "Lewis MacKenzie Trophy" (see bottom of page for a list of winners and fundraisers).
